Verlo Mattress Factory Stores Expands to McHenry, Illinois

Whitewater, WI March 21, 2004--Verlo Mattress Factory Stores, the nation's largest Craftsman-Direct® mattress retailer, is expanding to the McHenry, Illinois area. This new assembly/showroom store is approximately 13,000 square feet and is located in the old EB Brown building at 3710 West Elm Street. The store is planning to be open for business in June of 2004 and will service the existing Crystal Lake and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin locations.

The current assembly/showroom location is in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Moving to the growing McHenry area provides a central hub for the other locations within the organization.

Franchise owner, Ray Westman has been with Verlo Mattress Factory Stores since August of 1985. Native to the area, he was born and raised in McHenry County and graduated from Woodstock High School in 1985.

"Back in the mid 1980s, our assembly/showroom location was in the Crystal Lake area. We moved to the current Lake Geneva location in 1991, but have always wanted to move back to McHenry County. The revitalization of McHenry gives us the perfect opportunity to move back to the area. We are looking forward to providing this community with hand made, custom built mattress sets," said Westman.

The new location will bring approximately 8 new jobs to the area.
