Look For Mattress Man At Al's Memorial Run & Walk for Children's Hospital

Waukesha, WI September 23, 2004 -- Looking for a fun, family activity that helps a great cause? That's exactly what the owners of Verlo Mattress Factory Stores of Waukesha, located at 1717 Highway 164, immediately thought of when they registered for the 27th Annual Al's Memorial Run and Walk for Children's Hospital. Store owner, Kathy Peardon will be participating in the 5-mile run segment, along with Verlo's own mascot, Mattress Man! This loveable mascot will participate in the 3-mile walk segment, helping raise money for Children's Hospital. The organization's goal is to raise $2,500 for this cause. Kathy Peardon has participated in this event for several years, but this is the first time for Verlo's Mattress Man. "We're very excited about this event and are planning to make this an annual activity for our store," said Sales Manager, Paul Peardon.

"Children's Hospital is a fantastic facility. All of us here at the Waukesha store have families of our own and we are all thankful a facility like this exists. Getting involved is just one way we can help make a difference in our community," adds Peardon.

Al's Memorial Run and Walk for Children's Hospital is dedicated to making a difference for the children at the Hospital. The 8K run, 5-mile and 3-mile walk and wheelchair division begins on the Marquette University campus and ends at the Meier Festival grounds for a post race party. All of the money raised is used to purchase support for Children's Hospital.
